MX Logic Message Archiving

As a fully-managed service, Message Archiving integrates technology and features that allow organizations to store large volumes of email easily and retrieve it efficiently. Here's what our Message Archiving offers:

• Unlimited storage capacity: Messages can be retained for 1-year, 3-years, 5-years, and 7-years depending on business, compliance or legal requirements.
• Secure message transport and storage: Messages are transported to Message Archiving securely via TLS or SSL and are stored using 256-bit encryption.
• Full email disaster recovery: Messages are stored at dual, secure off-site locations.
• Less internal storage requirements: With Message Archiving, .pst files can be consolidated allowing you to shrink your Microsoft Exchange database to a more manageable size.
• Simple and advanced search technology:Any message, new or old, can be retrieved in a matter of seconds by administrators or end-users via the MX Control Console^SM interface.

Rapid Service Activation and Setup

The Message Archiving service offers a quick, easy setup and activation process which requires no hardware or software integration. As a fully-managed service, Message Archiving is also highly scalable to meet the needs of your business without the threat of technology obsolescence.

1. To begin the service setup, emails can be loaded using MX Logic® Directory Integration to sync automatically with the customer's Active Directory. Going forward, administrators can use Directory Integration to synchronize information on an automated schedule, ranging from one to four times per day, or they can choose to initiate a manual sync.
2. With the user information in place, service administrators then setup up transport security on the Exchange server(s) and connect their systems to MX Logic.
3. Our journaling feature records a copy, or journal, of all sent and received email messages processed by the Exchange Server. Envelope journaling ensures that BCC and distribution list recipients are captured and archived.
4. The Exchange Server sends this copied email to a dedicated mailbox called the journal recipient mailbox, which resides on the Exchange Server. Message Archiving then retrieves your email from this journal recipient mailbox and archives it.
5. Once activated, MX Logic polls each mail source every 15 minutes to check for available messages, which are then pulled into redundant, off-site archives.
